Technical Services

Estimating and CAD support for M&E.

Four services that add capacity when your team is stretched. Each is scoped up front and priced as a fixed fee.

Services

Capacity where the pressure is.

Your team keeps the commercial knowledge and the final review. We clear the work that is creating the pressure.

Electrical contractors

Estimating support

Tender pricing and take offs prepared to fit your own estimating process, so you can bid more work without taking on another permanent hire.

We take on job types we can price properly and will say so before you send anything.

Ideal for
Contractors with several tenders landing at once, or smaller jobs senior estimators cannot get to.
What you send
Drawings, specification or scope notes, your rates or price book and the return date.
What you receive
Priced take offs and a tender build-up in the agreed format, ready for your commercial review.
M&E contractors

As fitted drawings

Accurate as fitted drawings produced from the construction drawings, mark ups and site information your team supplies.

Drawn from the information you supply. Design responsibility stays with the designer of record.

Ideal for
Completed projects with a drawing backlog, or teams who would rather have engineers on site than at a desk.
What you send
Latest construction drawings, redlined mark ups, notes and any schedules or site photos.
What you receive
Updated drawings as DWG and PDF, ready for handover.
M&E contractors

Live project CAD updates

Drawings kept current while the project is live. Send a redline or describe the change and we update the CAD.

Ideal for
Projects with frequent changes where the drawings fall behind the site.
What you send
A marked up PDF, a sketch or a written description of the change, plus the current drawing.
What you receive
Revised drawings with changes clearly identified. Turnaround is agreed per job.
M&E consultants

CAD overflow support

Extra drafting capacity for M&E consultancies when deadlines stack up or a backlog builds.

Ideal for
Design teams with peaks they cannot staff for, or who want a flexible extra pair of hands.
What you send
Your drawings, mark ups or design information, plus your CAD standards, templates and layers.
What you receive
Drawings produced to your standards and returned for your team to check and issue.

Questions

Before you send work over.

Short answers to the questions we are asked most.

Do you take design responsibility?

No. Drawings are produced from the information you supply, and design responsibility stays with the designer of record.

How is the work priced?

As a fixed fee. We review your documents, estimate the time needed and quote before any work starts.

What do you return, and in what format?

Drawings come back as DWG and PDF. Estimates come back in the format you agree, so they slot into your own process.

Is my project information confidential?

Yes. Project information is used only for the agreed work and is handled under confidentiality, as set out in the privacy policy.

Which estimating jobs do you take on?

Job types we can price properly. If something is outside that, we will tell you before you send anything.
